EDINBURG – Mayor Richard Molina signed an amended Disaster Declaration today, keeping mandates in the City of Edinburg aligned with the new statewide Executive Order signed by Governor Greg Abbott. The new declaration limits public gatherings to 10 people and orders the closing of schools, restaurant dining areas, bars, and gyms.
EDINBURG – In pursuant to the Emergency Orders of the Supreme Court of Texas, the Court of Criminal Appeals of Texas and the Hidalgo County Board of Judges, a plan of action for all juvenile matters pending in the 449th District Court in response to the imminent threat of the COVID-19 Pandemic has implemented measures to protect the public and staff while ensuring parties and defendants’ rights are also protected.
McALLEN - Hidalgo County Judge Cortez yesterday issued a new “Emergency Order” that reiterates and, to some extent, expands the restrictions put in place to help us all battle the present coronavirus pandemic. As Mayor, I have directed that the City of McAllen will comply with the Judge Cortez’s order to the extent it expands previous restrictions or, adds new ones. The City of McAllen will begin enforcement of this order starting today, Monday, March 23, 2020.
