Update… Amazing. Four Americans kidnapped last Friday in broad daylight in downtown Matamoros, close to the international port I used to cross on foot many moons ago to get my boots shined at the little plaza near the bridge crossing. I’d park my car near Texas Southmost College and start walking. I wore one pair of boots in need of polishing while carrying a second pair.Just up the block from the little plaza was Garcia’s Restaurant, where good food could be had for a great price.
