These are probably two of those few state legislative bills that will garner bi- partisan majority vote: mandate that all public schools in Texas including charters prominently display the Ten Commandments in every classroom starting next school year.
Well, I finally got in touch with a guy in the construction industry who worked on the new Hidalgo County Courthouse, off and on, for three or four years. I have to check my notes. He agreed to tell me the story as long as I keep his name out of the mix. He’s been in the construction business for more than 40 years and has built more public buildings than he can count.
Unfortunately, like bad road kill, they exist. Bad politicians that is, with “bad” being defined as “crooked/corrupt.” In other words, a politician, man or woman, who can be bribed if the price is right.
