As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before in this space, I’m a “third-vocation” pastor—immediately after high school I joined the U.S. Navy then retired 20 years later, followed by 15 years as a public high school teacher, before heeding God’s call. All three vocations came with a lifestyle change, but I found the same skills set to be applicable to each.
