“Hugs” not “bullets?” How to travel in Mexico

Democratic Presidential contender Bernie Sanders could have come up with this line as it pertains to violent criminals: “Let’s use hugs, not bullets.” The slogan, however, comes from Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), and is his answer to battling violent drug cartels. Since taking office, AMLO’s position (no relation to Elmo) has been that violence is not the answer to the growing violence committed by the cartels, nor is it the appropriate action to take. When nine Americans were killed last month, including six children, AMLO still didn’t back down: No, hugs is still the way to go. Said AMLO:
