It doesn’t look like the new gun-carry bill will get passed this legislative session up in Austin, but the lieutenant governor and former radio talking head Dan Patrick hasn’t given up trying to get it done (see Texas Tribune story, page xx). “If we have the votes to pass a permitless carry bill off the Senate floor, I will move it,” Patrick said in a statement (Source: Tx Trib.).
