I was talking to an elected official this week who wanted to know who The Advance News Journal was referencing in last week’s front-page story about past-due property taxes and the allegation that a local politician had lost their home as a result.I told him that apparently, digging into the story a little more, the home wasn’t lost to foreclosure because the politician/elected official had taken out a bank loan to pay the property taxes, but then failed to pay back the bank note.Uh-oh.
