Freshman Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Green is in a spot of trouble because of things she tweeted before she was elected to office. The Democrats say she spouted conspiracy theories and made antisemitic remarks. Ms. Green doesn't dispute that. In fact she denounces her own words and chalks up her statements to a misunderstanding based on misinformation during a process of intellectual growth. Democrat representatives don't buy the explanation and bumped her off all her committee assignments. In doing this they set a dangerous precedent.
