God can handle our scoldings. In fact, our outbursts of resentment and rage at Him are often the first step toward recovery. Even though our anger is initially turned against God, at least it turns us to Him.
So it was with Moses, whose distress put him back in touch with God, where he received the holy comfort and counsel he needed to carry on. He learned about sharing the burden of responsibility with others (Numbers 11:16-25), but more importantly, Moses was reminded of God’s sufficiency in all of his circumstances.
