This newspaper’s op/ed section used to be balanced when former UTRGV Political Science Professor Samuel Freeman was writing for this newspaper. With only a few exceptions, Freeman and I disagreed on almost all things political, save a few, like invading Iraq. We both agreed about W’s inability to think with a clear head. Apparently, it was empty. Who could have known? He sounded bright on the campaign trail, then came 9-11, proving him to be dumber than a rock.
On the conservative side, The Advance News had, and still has, Republican Tom Haughey writing from a conservative point of view. Funny,
