If all goes well, by this time next year the long-anticipated extension of Bicentennial Boulevard all the way to State Highway 107 will be close to completion. McAllen city commissioners at their regular meeting yesterday voted to approve the contract to get it done. Commissioners awarded the almost $12.6 million contract to Texas Cordia Construction, LLC, of Edinburg. Texas Cordia’s website states that the company is already hired to extend 10th Street from Highway 107 to Monte Cristo Road.
