Dinesh D’Souza was sentenced to eight months incarceration and five years probation for giving a few thousand dollars above the legal limit to a friend who was running unsuccessfully for the senate. Conservatives are in general agreement that he got such a stiff and unusual sentence because he had authored a documentary highly critical of Obama.
