By Tom HaugheyA few days ago a liberal front group filed a lawsuit in Colorado designed to prevent Donald Trump’s name from being placed on the Colorado Republican Primary Ballot. It claims that Trump participated in an insurrection and is thus barred from running for office under provisions in the United States Constitution’s Fourteenth Amendment. The group filing suit presents itself as being “Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington” (and may well have been created for the sole purpose of filing this and similar lawsuits).
