McAllen Residents: Asked to report standing water and mosquito concerns

The City of McAllen Health & Code Enforcement Department is assessing the flooded areas in the city. Further, Code Enforcement Officers are currently larviciding the areas of the city that have stagnant flood waters to eliminate the mosquito breeding. Citizens can call in to 681-1900 or McAllen 3-1-1 to report mosquito concerns which will result in an inspection for larviciding or spraying.

It is becoming clear that most voters lack information on the organization Black Lives Matter. A recent survey, for example, indicates that more Texans hold a favorable opinion concerning Black Lives Matter than they do towards the NRA. Since Texas is the biggest pro-gun state in the union, that is saying a lot. At the same time, 51% of voters hold negative view of Marxism (which is far less than it should be). Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization to the core and has no business outpolling the NRA with support from 43% of Texas voters (according to a poll by The Dallas Morning News).

This newspaper’s op/ed section used to be balanced when former UTRGV Political Science Professor Samuel Freeman was writing for this newspaper. With only a few exceptions, Freeman and I disagreed on almost all things political, save a few, like invading Iraq. We both agreed about W’s inability to think with a clear head. Apparently, it was empty. Who could have known? He sounded bright on the campaign trail, then came 9-11, proving him to be dumber than a rock.
