More dead Valley combat troops?

To show how much dedication I have for writing content for The Advance, I just shut down Bruce Springsteen singing “Lost in the Flood” so I could write this op/ed. From his 1975 concert on YouTube no less. His best version of the song, without a doubt. Which is fitting, I guess, since the lyrics are about a combat Viet Nam vet who can’t assimilate back into society because of the horrors he faced overseas. Sadly, he’s a walking, talking psychological mess.

Supreme Court blocks lower court redistricting ruling

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday blocked a lower court ruling that threw out the state’s new congressional map, allowing the new districts to stay in place, at least for now. A federal panel, by a 2-1 vote, said a few days earlier that the new map was racially gerrymandered.

Democrat Senators and U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar did the right thing

To the shame of the national Democrat Party, my opinion, the seven Democrat U.S. Senators and one Independent who sided with the GOP to reopen the federal government are now getting blasted by top-tier Democrats like Calif. Gov. Gavin Newson and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker for “caving.”
