Trump, the peace president?

Note: The following edit was written before the ceasefire was announced Tuesday morning. Whether it holds or not is still a big question mark. That still doesn’t detract from what a risky move this was on the part of the president. The U.S. was not in immediate danger from Iran, but Trump still went and bombed a sovereign country without bothering to run it by Congress. Just because he can? In the 2002/ 2003 run-up to the Iraq War, Fox’s Sean Hannity, who makes approximately $20 million per year, had this to say: “We’re going to go in and we’re going to liberate this country in a few weeks, and it’s going to be over very quickly. And what I’m going to tell you here is, you’re going to find, I predict, mass graves. We’re going to open up those… gulags and those prisons, and you’re going to hear stories of rape and torture and misery, and then we’re going to find all of the weapons of mass destruction.”
