Special to the AdvancePHARR — Hundreds of community members attended the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District (PSJA ISD) 2nd Annual Tradiciones Mexicanas concert in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month held at the PSJA Stadium on Sept. 27.The PSJATradiciones Mexicanas concert is hosted annually by the PSJA Fine Arts Department as part of the district's mission to instill multicultural heritage pride among the PSJA Community.The event featured live performances from the district’s various high school Mariachi, Folklorico, and Conjunto groups with a special guest performance by the first-ever parent-led Folklorico group “Nuestra Raices” representing the PSJA Parental Engagement Program.Students in the ...
