PHARR — PSJA North Early College High School Senior Jack Lugo recently signed a letter of intent to play football for Trinity University. He is also the grandson of one of this newspaper’s favorite guys, Alfredo Lugo, longtime PSJA ISD administrator and Donna ISD school board president and trustee (16 years).Lugo’s three sons also played for Donna, which remains the only Valley school district, by the way, to win the state high school football championship (1961).
