This year, a record number of students, ages 4-18, participated in the City of McAllen Parks & Recreation Track & Field program. The McAllen Parks & Recreation Department provides year-round training as part of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF).These youth athletes have been practicing, preparing, and competing to qualify for the TAAF 2022 Summer Games of Texas, a statewide athletic competition that incorporates track and field events, as well as a number of other sporting events.
