In December of 1926, the Valley made plans for three big holiday football games. While high school football took the limelight during the regular season—semi-pro football was just as popular.
Call me crazy, and many already have, but I don’t understand this “transgender” talk as it relates to high school and college sports. New words even pop up in reference to the topic of “transgender,” and I’ve never even heard of them. Talk about clueless. For example, “cisgender.” I saw that word cross my path the other day, and I have no clue as to what it means. Let me look up its definition so I’m down with the current jive.

Maybe it’s my age, 36, but whenever I grow nostalgic over sports these days, it’s the 1970s to which I return. The decade I got my driver’s license, got paid, turned 18, and decided that I knew everything there was to know. By the time I turned 30, I realized I really didn’t know jack. About anything. Bummer.
