WEDNESDAY STATS,  10-28-2020  EDINBURG – Officials with the Hidalgo County Health and Human Services Department reported seven more deaths related to COVID-19 on Wednesday and 177 new known positive cases, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez said Thursday.   “The country is seeing record numbers of new cases,” Judge Cortez said. “We must prepare for that by being extra careful among crowds and by wearing facial coverings in public.
