WEDNESDAY STATS,  9-30-2020 EDINBURG – Hidalgo County logged another 17 deaths related to COVID-19 as well as 149 new positive cases, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez said Wednesday. The total death count from this virus now stands at 1,698 and the total number of those testing positive is 31,984.   Of the total testing positive, 157 more people have been released meaning they have not shown symptoms for ten days or haven’t had a fever for the last three of those days.
