RIP, my very good friend
Recently, I lost one of the greatest guys I’ve ever had the pleasure to know, and his death was COVID related. Without the pandemic, he’d still be alive. Probably why I’m listening to the blues this morning.

The next four years could be a weird case of good news vs. bad news, and it all involves Biden and the Democrat-majority Congress. The good news is, Biden beat Trump. The bad news is, Biden and the Dems may screw things up worse than Trump did if you don’t include the pandemic.
Can’t remember what year it was, circa mid- to late-1990s, but suddenly, the city of Pharr was faced with not one, but two strip clubs opening within what seemed like months of each other: Xoticas on N. 281 and Stilettos on Sugar Rd.,
You know, I try to stay apolitical in opinion columns. I have readers who are Democrats and Republicans, so why should I take sides? I think both parties have their good and bad points.
LBJ knew how to rig an election the good oldfashioned way. He rigged them before the vote, not after the election had passed. Apparently, Donald Trump never read any of the LBJ bios of how he rigged the 1948 U.S. Senate election up in Duval and Jim Wells counties with the help of George Parr.
