Hello, my name is Armor! Do you have some time to spend with me? An adopter who has experience with jumpy dogs would be a big plus for me! I hope you're steady on your feet. The People's Court

In the debris trail of its recent decision to reverse a 50-year old marquee ruling on abortion “rights,” the highest court in the land issued another decision just days later on the increasingly blurred separation between church and state—in particular, public prayer. The former was met with cheers, jeers, protests, and, sadly, moral discord; the latter with very little reaction by comparison. Both decisions are tied inextricably to the 14th Amendment to our Constitution which guarantees American citizens certain “liberties,” such as freedom of religion, speech, and the press.

Powerful exhibition underway at Weslaco Museum

The Weslaco Museum together with the brings you a powerful exhibition about Human Trafficking. This exhibit will remain in the Gallery of the museum until Oct. 1. Video testimonies of real-life survivors of sexual, labor, child, and human trafficking will be projected in the Gallery. With current events of humans transported in freight vehicles being left to perish in the Texas heat, the Weslaco Museum feels that this exhibit is timely and expresses the dangers of being victimized.

Mark 4:35-38, That day when the evening came, Jesus said to His disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took Jesus along, just as He was, in the boat. There were also other boats with Him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, don't you care if we drown?”
