WESLACO — The Guild of the Weslaco Museum will host a “Here Come the Brides” Luncheon on June 25th, 11:30 to 1:30 in the Art Gallery of the Weslaco Museum. Tickets are $25 and are available at the Weslaco Museum, www.weslacomuseum.org or from a Weslaco Museum Guild member.
This week Cinderella is featuring a couple of hot dogs that have found a way to beat the heat. Maggie and Diesel are pen mates and were recently observed partaking of a summertime treat–a frolic in the kiddie pool. These “kiddies” really know how to enjoy life, playing together in their own little spa–to the delight of anyone passing by.
The Board of Commissioners of the City of Pharr met for a regular meeting on June 6 and considered an agenda that included the following highlights:
Sweet blue-eyed Samantha is one of our kind-hearted girls. She is not very active but loves to go on walks with people. Samantha is not too interested in other dogs right now but has been in our playgroup session with them. She loves soft meaty treats and will grab them softly from your hands. This week we’re featuring just two of Cinderella’s star pets, Topeka and Brahms. Topeka, a Great Swiss Mountain Dog cross, and Brahms, a very affectionate tabby, represent all the pets at our shelter, because each one is a star in his or her own right. Brahms also represents a fine group of kitties, adorned with stripes aplenty, who are currently in foster care.
