EDINBURG — After a yearlong hiatus because of COVID, Palm Valley Animal Society’s signature event, Puppy Love, is returning on May 6 at the Mission Event Center, 2425 Ruby Red Blvd. starting at 6:30 p.m.

Hiya! I’m Mascara — and a whirlwind of play and affection in a small body. Recharging between play sessions is a must, but once I’m up, I’m ready for all the loves and fun. I want to make all the other cats my friends, even if they sometimes find my energy a bit much. Come by to Andrews if you’re on my wavelength, I hope to be your playmate for life! Hi humans, I’m Bagel Bite! If I could talk, my advice would be to stay kind even on your bad days. I love receiving pets, especially as I sleep. I am like an angel sleeping on a cloud when smothered in hugs and kisses. The PSJA Bears Class of 1957 hosts monthly reunions. Events will alternate between dinner and breakfast on the second Saturday of every month. The dwindling “Bears of 1957” classmates encourage schoolmates from other 1950s Bear classes to join them in reliving memories of their high school legacies.
