Celebrate South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley outdoors under the stars with the Mariachi Margaritas at Quinta Mazatlan. The Music in the Park 2022 series will feature traditional songs from the all-female mariachi group from Brownsville, Texas on Thursday March 10th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

McALLEN — During a city commission meeting Monday, Mayor Javier Villalobos and the McAllen City Commission proclaimed the month of March as Women’s History Month in McAllen, and March 8 as International Women’s Day in McAllen, in celebration of the of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. City leaders said the City of McAllen is unique amongst Rio Grande Valley and border municipalities, with an equal number of men and women who are directors of City of McAllen departments.
