McALLEN — When Gilberto Martinez decided to major in “drama,” starting his college career in the middle of a pandemic wasn’t exactly what he had in mind.
For pilots just starting out, looking to make aviation their career, during the course of their training there are two holy grails. Actually, four if you count the first solo flight, which would be considered numero uno; and second, passing the private pilot’s test, which consists of a written test, a practical test (you sit oneon-one with the person administering the test, answering questions posed to you), and finally, the actual flight test itself.
On Veterans Day, we honor our veterans across our country. We salute them for the sacrifices they have made for us whether it was at home or abroad. Meet 1-year-old Chase, who is a sweetheart that looks a lot like a Belgian Malinois. He has been with us since early July, picked up as a stay from Animal Control. One of his favorite things to do during playgroup sessions is jumping into pools or buckets of water. He is a bit more on the active side and enjoys running around the yard with his handlers.
