Opalesque and Connie are just two of the “teenage” kittens who are growing up in foster care at our shelter. Born in August and September respectively, these great kittens are morphing into really wonderful cats, who only require loving homes to make their dreams come true.
PHARR - As part of its mission of preparing students to achieve the highest levels of success, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) is currently in the process of recruiting its second cohort of middle school students for the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program.
Not counting the weather, charter pilots can usually tell if it’s going to be a good or bad flight soon after meeting the passengers. If the forecast route is going to be bumpy, and the passenger group includes a small child, making sure the barf bag is handy is a smart thing to do right off the bat. If you’re a professional pilot, you get to know puke. Call it one of the downsides to the profession.
At my age, do I really hope there is a Heaven devoid of tears, pain, and suffering? Damn right. Just don’t ask me if I think I’ll make it there. Let’s just say my life story is checkered over the years.
