EDINBURG – The Edinburg Rotary Club recently announced during its virtual luncheon meeting that it is donating $4,500 to support three charities involving children’s projects. The Rotary’s Service Over Self Foundation is funding all three of the programs.
September is the summer percolating into autumn, an ever-so-slight relaxation from the peak heats of July and August, but with only the first whispers of cooler falls. It largely feels like an extension of the summer months, full of bright, hot days and many of the same birds and butterflies as the previous three months.
Palm Valley Animal Society’s annual Clear the Shelters event is here! This week’s featured pets, Carlie and Milo, aren’t fair-weather friends. They’re the sort of pals that will stick with you through thick and thin, as well as through all the good times. There’s no denying that these are stressful times, nor is there any denying that the company of a pet (or two, or more) can help make life more enjoyable, no matter what’s going on outside your home. There’s also no question that these two would be much happier living in a forever home of their very own, rather than at our shelter.
