Concert in the forest featuring the Cicadas

Would you like a sound track of cicadas singing in the forest? The cicada concert is happening now in the Thornforest at Quinta Mazatlán. The high-pitched song of the insect is a mating call belted out by males. The females do not sing but respond by flicking their wings together. The noise can be heard up to a half-mile away, which makes the cicadas, pronounced suh-KEI-duh, one of the loudest insects in the world.

Just in Time for the Fourth of July!

It’s hard to believe that the Fourth of July is almost here. Celebrations will probably be somewhat different this year so Cinderella would like to suggest doing something completely different--adopt a dog (or two)! Instead of spending lots of money on fireworks that will just go up in smoke, why not make a lifetime investment in a dog who really needs a loving home? Long after the Fourth has passed, a dog will still be there with you, a great companion AND an unique, living commemoration of the holiday.
