McAllen Public Library Launches Virtual Summer Reading Challenge

McALLEN — McAllen Public Library invites children, teens and adults to sign up for the 2020 Virtual Summer Reading Challenge, a six-week literacy-based program for all ages! The program runs Monday, June 1 through Friday, July 10, 2020. Registration can be done as a family or individually. Complete all 10 challenges and earn a cool prize this summer. Edinburg CISD names District Teachers of the Year

EDINBURG – The Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District recently announced that the 2020-2021 District Elementary Teacher of the Year is Yvonne Garza and the District Secondary Teacher of the Year is Cassandra Sanchez.

PSJA ISD alumni earn law degrees in their early 20s

PHARR — Two Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD Alumni and Early College Graduates recently fulfilled their dreams of graduating from law school. Brianna Garza and Luis Guerrero were among the youngest lawyers to graduate in their class at ages 23 and 24, respectively.
