Camo Is My Happy Color

One of the most near-perfect camouflaged birds is the Common Pauraque. The Pauraque has an understated beauty marked in brownblack and grey patterns and can just “disappear” on the Thornforest floor. While Pauraques are an adaptable species, they need forests to live and will leave areas that are heavily built up. Forests are important for many reasons from providing homes, to providing food, medicines and helping us breathe and keep cool.

Teach an Old Dog New Tricks

Cinderella Pet Rescue has a number of senior dogs who have been waiting a very long time for a forever home. These are good, healthy dogs who still have lots of life and love left in them and who really need a loving person or family to make their dreams come true. Older pets can sometimes be a “lifesaver” for an older person or couple, providing: a new focus, a distraction from health problems, and/or current events, a reason to begin a regular exercise program, or just some plain old canine affection. This week we are featuring two ten year old dogs: Batina, a small female German Shepherd cross, and Cabernet, a male Belgian Shepherd/Malinois mix.
