EDINBURG — In advance of National Kids and Pets Day, nonprofit Petco Love is rallying kids across the country together to share their love with shelter pets, reading Kristin Chenoweth’s inspiring book “What Will I Do with My Love Today?” Palm Valley Animal Society is joining Petco Love, Tony and Emmy award winning actress and performer Chenoweth, and 50 animal welfare organizations across the nation for this Read and Share Your Love event, hosting little animal lovers in our shelter on April 23 from 1 to 3 p.m (2451 N US Expressway 281).

PHARR — The South Texas Border Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists honored 55 graduates at their first in-person ceremony since 2020. The new chapter members included 24 members who completed the program in 2020, 13 from the 2021 class and this year’s 18 new members.
