The Mission Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees has recently approved a compensation plan for the upcoming school year.
Trouble now lurks behind the college application process for undocuments students because disclosing the fact that they are in this country illegally could mean a visit from ICE.
During much of the chaotic Jorge Arredondo years spent as superintendent at PSJA ISD, from 2019 through 2022, the school board was split 5-2, with Carlos Villegas and Cynthia Gutierrez comprising the two.
Gutierrez, who serves as a board trustee for PSJA ISD, filed a lawsuit against other members of the board. The hearing commenced Tuesday morning at the Hidalgo County Courthouse in Edinburg.
