The Texas Department of Transportation is advising motorists of possible traffic interruptions and delays along IH-2 from McColl Rd. through Ware Rd. beginning on Thursday March 5, 2020 through Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
EDINBURG – Licensed professional counselors from the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District recently certified approximately 30 parents through their Youth Mental Health First Aid Program. It’s the only program of its kind offered in the region where participants earn a three-year international certification.
Cancer is the second most common cause of death in Texas adults, and the same is true in the Rio Grande Valley. According to the Texas Cancer Registry Annual Report 2019, an estimated 124,383 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in Texas and an estimated 45,524 Texans will die from cancer. In 2017, Hidalgo County had 2,411 cancer cases of which 814 resulted in death.
Hidalgo County District Attorney seems to be stumbling over the alleged voter-fraud case involving Edinburg Mayor Richard Molina and his wife. Whether the case will ever be brought to trial before the end of this year is still a matter of speculation.
EDINBURG – Hidalgo County will hold a Surplus Auction by AMT Auctions at the Precinct 4 Administration Building located 1051 N. Doolittle Road in Edinburg on Saturday, Mar. 14. Bidding begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. The auction will include vehicles, trucks, tractors, backhoes and construction equipment.
