Who am I to question God?

“After these things [Jesus] appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country. And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.” (Mark 16:12-13) Which event would likely send the unsuspecting public—among them many Christians—into a mass panic, an appearance by Jesus or a visit from extraterrestrial lifeforms? What if either showed up tomorrow, unannounced, to say hello, to reassure us that we’re not alone?

As we grow older, we play a game of what-if? It’s a fool’s errand, but I’m pretty sure we all do it. The way it works is, if I had taken that direction in life instead of this direction, what might my life be like today?
