Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick last week issued a sweeping gag order ahead of the impeachment trial of suspended Attorney General Ken Paxton, the Houston Chronicle reported, saying “out-of-court statements” by both sides threaten to jeopardize the trial.

Feds release migrant kids with latent TB into the U.S.

Poor kids. Poor us. According to a court-ordered report released in July 2023, migrant kids with latent tuberculosis (LTBI) are being allowed entry into the United States without assurances of treatment.

City partners with Citibot to launch ‘Ask McAllen’

The City of McAllen announced Friday the launch of its new customer service platform, Ask McAllen, an additional customer service tool that includes a text message feature and an accessible web chat assistant on the city’s website.
