Levee projects, Rio Grande salinity control on agenda for webinar

The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission has scheduled a public meeting of the Lower Rio Grande Citizens Forum for Thursday, from 3 to 5 p.m. CDT via webinar. The purpose of the forum is to promote the exchange of information between the USIBWC and the community regarding Commission projects and related activities in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

Comptroller Hegar distributes $913M in Monthly Sales Tax Revenue to cities

AUSTIN — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $913.3 million in local sales tax allocations for March, 19.8 percent more than in March 2021. These allocations are based on sales made in January by businesses that report tax monthly.
