Edinburg launches ‘311’ Call Center to improve and enhance customer service

EDINBURG – The City of Edinburg is one of the fastest growing city in the Rio Grande Valley and to successfully meet the increasing needs of our booming population, the city is launching its new 311 app and dedicated 311 call center to streamline communication and resident access to city programs and services. Call center agents will be able to answer citizen’s questions about events, water bills, trash pickup, city initiatives, etc making it the city’s central telecommunications hub for residents. While call center agents will provide day-to-day non-emergency information to our community, when the need arises, the call center shifts into ‘emergency mode’ to become a 24hr/ 7day to become a critical resource to take incoming calls related to the ongoing emergency state the city is experiencing.
