McAllen Holiday Parade to feature essential workers as parade grand marshals

In a year that has seen the world turned upside down, with a “new normal” now just…normal and virtual everything, one thing became extremely apparent to all: the importance of essential workers and their role in keeping the community safe and moving forward. From grocery store clerks to custodians, from teachers to emergency personnel, from retail workers to restaurant employees, from delivery drivers to government employees and of course, from doctors to nurses, these were the workers were the that helped keep businesses open, buildings clean and disinfected, people fed, economies stable, students learning, and people safe and healthy. It is these individuals in McAllen that will be recognized and celebrated as the grand marshals for this year’s McAllen Holiday Parade, presented by H-E-B and powered by Bert Ogden & Fiesta Dealerships, and the community is going to help choose them.

Senators Cornyn, Cruz remain mum Assault on our election process with no proof to back up claim Most Republicans still kiss Don’s @$$

Texas’s two U.S. senators, John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, have remained relatively silent while Trump and his legal A-team, consisting of the Dye-Haired Rudy Giuliani and his confederacy of dunces, attempt to destroy this country’s election process, by casting doubt in the minds of people as to its legitimacy. “Down to the Banana Republic,” lyrics from a song written by Jimmy Buffett, could now describe present-day America. Only thing missing is a military coup.
