HIDALGO — U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Hidalgo and Pharr International Bridges arrested three people in connection with two failed drug smuggling attempts of alleged cocaine with a combined street value of $880,500.

LA JOYA — Congressman Henry Cuellar held a press conference on Thursday, October 29 at 1:00 pm to deliver two grants, totaling $549,948, that will greatly benefit the residents of the Rio Grande Valley. Specifically, Congressman Cuellar announced $499,948 in federal funds to the University of Rio Grande Valley and their work to establish and expand services for victims and survivors of sexual assault.
The Pharr Community Theater (PCT) is offering 1/2 hour online acting classes from Nov. 9, 2020 to Dec. 4, 2020, twice a week, for kids, teens and adults. Learn the basics of acting and a little more including auditioning tips and digging deeper to discover characters and real acting. Classes will be on zoom.
