Precinct 4 breaks ground on critical drainage project

EDINBURG – Hidalgo County Precinct 4 Commissioner Ellie Torres, in collaboration with Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 General Manager Raul E. Sesin, P.E., C.F.M. will break ground on a critical drainage project at 10 A.M. on Thursday, November 5, 2020 on Bond Project #36 known as Sunflower Drain in Edinburg. “This project, along with others, was identified as one of the most important in order to facilitate drainage during flood events within the county,” said Torres.

IH-2 Westbound Frontage Rd. Main St. exit and entrance ramps closed through 12/1/2020

The Texas Department of Transportation is advising motorists of possible traffic interruptions and delays as the westbound frontage road S. Main St. exit and entrance ramps along IH-2 will be closed, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 1 and continuing through Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
