Rep. Cuellar Delivers $1,899,545 in Federal Funds to UTRGV

MISSION – Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) announced $1,899,545 in federal funds to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. These funds, awarded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service’s Conservation Innovation Grants On-Farm Trials program, will be used to implement on-theground approaches to improve soil health for farming across the region.

City of Pharr Strives to Keep Citizens Safe During Voting

PHARR – Earlier this month, the City of Pharr passed Ordinance O-2020- 37 regulating electioneering in city-owned or city-controlled property in order to help keep citizens and the community stay safe during voting. While the city is still allowing electioneering, individuals doing so will have to respect the city Ordinance and only do so in specified areas for safety.

Bicentennial Boulevard Extension Project Northgate Lane closures through 10/23

McALLEN — As the City of McAllen continues to move forward with the Bicentennial Boulevard road extension project, construction of the roadway intersection of Northgate Lane at Bicentennial Boulevard will continue to remain closed along Northgate Lane.

Pharr Celebrates National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

PHARR - Pharr City leaders and employees gathered together at Monday's city commission meeting dressed in pink to celebrate and bring awareness to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, marking the annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease, encourage early detection, and support research to find a cure.

Long-term closure of Sugar Road exit ramp on westbound I-2
