EDINBURG — The Edinburg City Council on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, approved a plan to partner with Health Sciences Institute at Renaissance and the Texas Workforce Commission to increase advanced education in two medical professions – Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Medical Assistant.
Edinburg, Texas – DHR Health is the first in Hidalgo County to treat carotid artery disease and prevent future strokes using a new procedure called TransCarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR). TCAR (tee-kahr) is a minimally invasive approach for high surgical risk patients who need carotid artery treatment.
WASHINGTON – On July 1st, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced $2,874,097 for the McAllen Miller International Airport to improve airport drainage. Awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the grant will fund the installation of 2,800 feet of drainage improvements to eliminate ponding on airfield surfaces.
