Successful partnership for free Community COVID-19 testing site

PHARR — The City of Pharr partnered with the Texas Military Department, Texas Department of Public Safety Division of Emergency Management, the Texas Emergency Medical Task Force, the Texas Department of State Health Services, and the Hidalgo County Office of Emergency Management to host a very successful free community COVID-19 mobile testing center. Over the course of the three-day mobile testing site, the partner organizations complimented the City of Pharr's staff for their orderliness and organization in managing the flow of the hundreds of residents that showed up to be tested. The City of Pharr would like to thank all partners for their help in making this a very successful COVID-19 test site and for providing this critical service to our community. Texans Helping Texans!

Three more people died from complications related to COVID-19; 248 people test positive for the virus

EDINBURG — Three more people have died as a result of complications related to COVID-19, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez said Monday. This comes as 248 people learned they tested positive for the virus bringing the total number of known positive cases is now 3,542.
