AEP Scam in Downtown McAllen

McALLEN - The City of McAllen has been made aware of a scam that has targeted merchants. All McAllen residents and businesses are urged to be aware of someone posing as an AEP representative, stating that meters need to be changed for a $900 fee. Victims are given a phone number to call that takes them to an alleged AEP customer service representative, who states that they can give their bank information over the phone or pay the person in front of them to complete the required service.

My dear old mom would have turned 90 last month if ALS hadn’t claimed her life when she was just a month shy of turning 65. As far as moms go, for the most part, you could say I got lucky having her as a mom. Over $7.36 million for housing initiatives in Mission and Hidalgo County

LAREDO — Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX- 28) announced $7,361,923 in federal funds for housing initiatives in Mission and Hidalgo County. These funds, awarded through the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s two grant programs, will support access to safe and affordable housing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
