The death of a friend or a loved one stings with a pain like nothing else in this life. The same death that so callously wounds the living, without empathy, yet with great chutzpah, presses a bony finger into the chest of the aggrieved and whispers “Do you believe in God?”

When Joe Biden gave his acceptance speech at the Democrat National Convention, I listened very closely to see if I could hear the Coca Cola choir in the background. They had to be there singing that they’d love to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. After all, Biden was the self-proclaimed candidate of love with a copy of “Mother Earth News” sticking out of his back pocket. He was the candidate of light standing up for the Green Deal and opposing the candidate of darkness. It was almost enough to cause one to forget that the Green Deal in California was at that very minute causing rolling blackouts because natural gas had been “retired” in favor of solar and wind and there wasn’t enough electricity to power California’s lights and air conditioners.
