Opinion

What goes around. . .

The postage stamp kingdom of Lichtenstein has announced it intends to enact sanctions against communist China. Normally that would seem laughable except that Lichtenstein is a tax haven which has made a fortune through its banking system. Plenty of Chinese Communist leaders have stashed their ill-gotten gains in Lichtenstein banks and can ill afford having their accounts frozen.

Curse you, Red Baron

As a kid, I grew up loving Snoopy. A dog with attitude and a disdain for authority, what was there not to love? Then there was the whole Peanuts gang, from poor Charlie Brown and the football that Lucy kept pulling out from under him, to Linus holding on to his blanket while walking around spouting philosophy, to Schroeder playing jazz on his piano, to Pig Pen, Peppermint Patty, Woodstock, et al. Charles Schulz, RIP, pure genius at understanding kids in particular, and the human condition in general.
