It is becoming clear that most voters lack information on the organization Black Lives Matter. A recent survey, for example, indicates that more Texans hold a favorable opinion concerning Black Lives Matter than they do towards the NRA. Since Texas is the biggest pro-gun state in the union, that is saying a lot. At the same time, 51% of voters hold negative view of Marxism (which is far less than it should be). Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization to the core and has no business outpolling the NRA with support from 43% of Texas voters (according to a poll by The Dallas Morning News).

Ed Sterling wrote this column for almost three decades, so let’s open by celebrating his contributions to the Texas Press Association and its members. Ed was the calm, steady voice keeping us informed and interested.
