In my first week in the House of Representatives in 1976, I cast one of the two votes against legislation appropriating funds for a swine flu vaccination program. A swine flu outbreak was then dominating headlines, so most in DC were frantic to “do something” about the virus.

While she was United Nations Ambassador, Nikki Haley announced our country’s departure from the Human Rights Council. The reason for that was simple. China controlled it and had loaded it up with dictatorial butchers known for their trampling of human rights. The fox was in charge of the hen house, and the United Nations had refused to clean up its act. In Haley’s words, the council was “a cesspool of political bias.” The fact that a country with the worst human rights record in the world has managed to gain control of the human rights council shows how effective China’s takeover campaign has been.
