With the theatrical release of Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” last Friday, superheroes are on the minds of many. For me though, the heroes I’m thinking of don’t don capes. However, they may know how to sew them back up as good as new for their little ones.
You would think that the worst time for anyone to go on strike is when the industry for which they work is not doing well. Of course, that would take common sense, and as the French Philosopher Voltaire once said, “Common sense is not so common.”
I just have to admit it: I can’t take reality anymore. It’s driving me more crazy than I already am. So, I figure, to cope, I have two choices: bury myself in the study and practice of Taoism or turn into a full-blown fentanyl user. Just lie on the couch and watch re-runs of the old Hardy Boys series and/ or Nancy Drew. Maybe some “Leave It To Beaver.”
I hope there is a clinical psychological study done one day on the sort of people who create anonymous FB pages and then pollute it with BS, attacking people, which include both public figures and private citizens.
